Sensei Bowman writes:
At USA Martial Arts Inc., we
teach our students using a basic philosophy of positive
reinforcement to build self-esteem, confidence, discipline,
positive attitude, and values. Our programs are designed
around Aikido, Jujutsu and Tae Kwon Do. We realize that
although the ability to defend yourself is important, there
are many benefits to be gained from martial arts
involvement.
Our unique method of training is
fun and is designed to:
·
Instill A Positive Attitude
·
Build Confidence and Self-Esteem
·
Teach the importance of strong values and good
character
·
Improve concentration
·
Teach self-discipline
·
Develop leadership skills
·
Instill respect for themselves and for others
·
Improve overall fitness and coordination
·
Teach valuable self-defense skills
By embodying these principles in
our student’s classes, the USA Martial Arts Inc. team has
made a strong commitment to today’s Martial Arts programs.
Our carefully designed program for students of all ages will
improve your performance in other sports as well as
improving study habits and increasing overall
concentration. In addition to this, by building
self-confidence, self-respect, and self-discipline, we are
helping young people to deal with the many problems they
face growing up in today’s world, including drugs, and peer
pressure.
Our program offers a lot more than just
self-defense and physical agility. The USA Martial Arts
Program will teach the student history, values, safety, and
much more. But the best part of all is that Martial Arts
will give the student self-discipline. This leads to
increased concentration at school, which often pays off in
many ways including better grades. Our programs will teach
the student about setting goals, leadership, and taking
responsibility. These qualities, more than any others, will
help the student ensure their success in school, college,
and life.
The martial arts will also help the
student develop physically. Our programs increase speed,
stamina, and strength, as well as greatly improve balance,
coordination, and timing. This will help in all other
sports and activities.
Perhaps the scariest problem facing
many parents today is the thought that their child might get
involved in drugs. As Police Officers, we see the number of
“good kids” taking drugs at a younger and younger age is
staggering. In light of this our programs are designed to
promote self-confidence and self-esteem, which gives your
child the courage to say “NO” in the face of peer pressure.
